2024 order of merit WINNER
ant wilding

​The 2024 season Order of Merit champion was Ant Wilding, seen here on the left being presented with his winnings and trophy by the 2024 Captain Brian McDowall. It was very close season with several members in for a shout on at the last meeting of the season, especially given Ant couldn't make it. However, he was able to hang onto his lead and was a well deserved champion! This was Ant's second success, having won the pairs in 2023 with Luke Higham.

2023 order of merit WINNER
jase moore

​The 2023 season Order of Merit champion was Jase Moore, seen here in the middle being presented with his winnings and trophy by the 2023 Captain Jason Athay and Jason Alderson, the owner of the 2023 Main Sponsor Appletree Finance. Jase had an great season scoring very highly and on a very low handicap. The most consistent player throughout the season and a worthy champion. This was Jase's third success in as many seasons, having won the pairs in 2021 and the singles in 2022.

2022 order of merit WINNER
MIKE THORNE

​The 2022 season Order of Merit champion was Mike Thorne, seen here on the right being presented with his winnings and trophy by the 2022 Captain Brian Ferguson. Mike had an excellent season and was a well deserved winner, coming through on the last meeting of the season with five other members in contention.

2021 ORDER OF MERIT WINNER
CARL TURNER

​The 2021 season Order of Merit champion was Carl Turner, seen here on the right being presented with the winners trophy by the 2021 Captain Dave Jordan. Carl had a great season scoring consistently high at each meeting. This was his second Order of Merit win having also won it in 2017. 

2019 & 2020 ORDER OF MERIT

2019 saw a drop in society numbers with the Order of Merit competition being dropped. 2020 brought the joys of COVID and closures of courses, so again the Order of Merit was dropped for the season.

2018 ORDER OF MERIT WINNER
JASON ATHAY

​The 2018 season Order of Merit champion was Jason Athay, seen here with the winners trophy at the final meeting of the season at Fleetwood Golf Club. Jay had an excellent season and was the most consistent over the eight meetings. This followed the 2017 season where he narrowly missed out to Carl Turner, coming second.

2017 ORDER OF MERIT WINNER
CARL TURNER

​The 2017 season Order of Merit champion was Carl Turner, seen here with the winners trophy at the final meeting of the season at Blackpool North Shore Golf Club. This was Carl's first Order of Merit win, following up with another win in 2021. Carl had an excellent season but only just pipped Jason Athay to the title on the last day!

2016 ORDER OF MERIT WINNER
DON GOLDIE

​The winner of our first official Order of Merit was Don Goldie.  Don had some amazing rounds in 2016, with the most memorable being at Blackpool North Shore Golf Club where he had his best ever round, sinking put after put!!
Sadly, Don passed away a few ago. He was a great guy with a great sense of humour who was liked by every member of the society. He was also one of the founding members, working at the Norcross civil service site. RIP Don!!
